Renewals & thanks

Thank you for all of those who have gotten your renewals to me!  There is alot to look forward to in 2012 and I am excited to have you onboard!  Everyone who has renewed will receive the following.
1. Updated presenter DVD for Dogs & Storks and/or DABC (in the mail)
2.  Updated password for our new site protected pages
3. New license agreement (via email) to be signed and emailed back

Update

Okay so I am happy to say that the Canadian Family Paws issue has been resolved.  It was not pretty but...it is over.  I am glad.
Moving forward I will add that it did come down to official trademark registration being in our favor etc.  I have learned a great deal from this situation.  Glad we have a strong legal team behind our programs.

Ok Helen visited and that was so great to just hang out and meet in person.  We did some fun short video clips which we hope to have soon for the site and for new presenters.  it was great to spend time and meet in person finally. I am so fortunate to have such a great partner in crime!  LOL

I am putting the exclusivity application in the files section.  You may begin to submit these to me asap.

Our new site is being worked on and we are on track for Jan to launch.
I am excited about the New Year and look forward to moving forward with you all.  We really love seeing the renewals coming in!  It reminds me of what a great team we have.  So much ahead for us to accomplish!
If you have submitted your renewal we will be getting your new license agreement to you very shortly.

lessons learned

Folks, I have to say that I am learning some very expensive lessons through this experience.  This trainer in Edmonton is making things very challenging for Family Paws at this time.  We are continuing to pursue this legally which is expensive and emotionally draining.  My message to you all is that if you LOVE your business trademark and your name and do not wish it to be taken in another country or anywhere then go ahead and file trademark and scoop up domain names connected to it.  

We are continuing to battle it out and there is not an end in sight.  This is NOT what I ever expected from a brand new trainer.  It has gotten rather rediculous but in order for our presenters in alberta to be able to use family Paws branding we really must fight this all the way.  

So, please keep me in mind and know that I am doing my best always to protect what I have built and what you are all so proud of.  I am learning ALOT and am grateful for that but I am drained emotionally, mentally and otherwise.  So, please keep me in your thoughts and sending comforting thoughts about a peaceful resolution.

Planning ahead for events

Just a reminder that Helen and I, like all of you are VERY busy.   Many times we have been contacted in urgent states due to someone leaving preparation to the last minute  This creates stress for you which often spills over onto us.  Please let's do our best to avoid this by planning ahead.  Helen and I are happy to help anyone plan ahead!

We really do our best to be supportive and answer things in a timely manner.  Please try emailing and calling Helen or I but also know that we will get back to you when we are able too.  PLEASE prepare well in advance for any presentations and Always test run your dvd's well before you need them.  I am happy to send a new one if there is a problem.

Always remember the files section has information for the password protected site.  Due to the rebranding we are updating sites so I will be relying on this section until things are set with the new site.

Exclusivity

We are considering this as an option and upgrade for presenters.  It would be based on population along with other factors.  There is alot to work out and this will not appeal to all.  We are always looking to increase the value of our program and how it is represented in different communities.  Exclusivity is one of those considerations.  There is a great deal we are looking at in regards to this option.  Right now just looking for interest in this as an option.  As we grow this comes up more and more.
